This is my second pair of Montis Pickleball shoes, once again no break in, comfortable from day one. I am a fan
I had to exchange for a half size up, which was no problem — and as suggested on the site, that turned out to be the right call. The fit now feels spot-on.
These shoes are very comfortable. One small suggestion: adding a top eyelet slightly farther back could help improve heel lock. Not a complaint — just something that could take an already great design up another notch.
So far, the soles seem to be holding up well. I need more court time to fully gauge long-term durability, but I’m impressed. I may try the wide version next time just to allow for a bit more toe splay — they’re not overly snug, but I’m curious whether a wider fit might unlock even more comfort.
For reference, I’ve worn Asics Gel 9s, two pairs of K-Swiss Express Lights, Skechers Vipers, two pairs of PB5Star Court2s — and now the Montis Drop 1.0s. It’s a close call between these and the Court2s, but the Drop 1.0s will definitely be a repeat buy.
Outstanding comfort and performance at a great price — I’m sold.
Great shoes. Give so much support and control of your feet and ankles. I’d recommend them highly.
Did you know there are a lot of overpriced bad tennis/ pickleball shoes? You will now. I've gone through so many through the past few years trying to find good fit, comfort, stability, durability and price. Montis is now high on my trusted list of brands that I will gladly recommend to others. I've been wearing them for a month and I'm just pleasantly impressed with all of the factors listed above. I learned about this brand by reading posts about pickleball shoes and the name Montis came up several times with positive comments. I tried so many big name brands first that were based on my tennis experiences, but maybe I'm older and wiser now. I'm just upset that I didn't find Montis sooner.
Great shoes. They lasted 6 months until the heels developed wear and tear holes - playing 3x/week.
